The concept of A solar highways has slowly begun to come into light of late, and the world is beginning to take notice. News has come out that the French department of ecology and energy lead has announced a project which is looking to build a solar highway. Also recognized as the “Wattway Highway”, is going to be covered by unique solar panels. A little over half a mile of such highway should generate enough energy to power more than 5000 homes. When this project is completed this super solar highway should produce enough energy for 5 million homes which makes 8% of total number of homes in France.
