Description
This package is for water removal from a wet flooded car. Flooded car water removal is crucial to prevent bad odors, mold growth and bacteria inside your car. Once you schedule your assessment we will call you or have you come by our shop so that we can determine a plan for complete flood water remediation from your vehicle.
Three key things for proper flood remediation:
- Dry out the jute carpet padding: The just padding is the foam underneath your carpet. This padding is sometimes very thick and hard to get to unless you completely remove the carpet from the car to get to it. This padding acts like a sponge that holds water and will continue to cause moisture and humidity build up in your car unless you squeeze all the water out and vacuum it out of the car.
- Sanitize the interior of the vehicle: Sanitizing the interior of your vehicle is very important, especially if the water has been inside for a few days. At this point the proper conditions have been established for mold and bacteria growth.
- Fumigate for mold remediation and odor removal: The final step of the process is fumigation for mold and bad odors that are caused by the bacteria in the vehicle. This is the most important step once the vehicle has been dried out.
How much does it cost to dry out a wet flooded car?
A flooded vehicle can be dried out and remediated anywhere between $800-1500 dollars. The price point depends on the type of jute padding underneath your carpet. The extent of water in the vehicle; and how long will it take to dry. If mold has started to grow inside the car, this will affect the price as well. A car with sitting water for a few days, weeks, or even months will have a terrible odor that most people cannot stand. Removing this smell from the interior surfaces can be time consuming and difficult, but it can be done.
